This is our mixed-size female option — a bushel that includes everything from medium to large blue claws. It’s the female version of a mixed-grade bushel and it’s the workhorse pick for picking parties, family dinners, and casual feasts where you want a lot of crabs without overspending.

How is this different from the Female Blue Crabs page? Same crabs, this is just the mixed-size option vs the upper-end grade. If you want all bigger females, order from the other page; if you want a mix, this one.
How many per bushel? Usually 5-7 dozen — depends on size distribution.
Are these good for crab cakes? Excellent — pick them down after steaming and the female back-fin meat makes one of the best crab cakes you’ll ever have.
